Exit Waverley Station and head west toward Princes Street. Continue onto Princes Street → Lothian Road → Fountainbridge. The hotel is approx. 15–18 minutes walk. Taxi from the station takes 5–7 minutes.

Walk via Princes Street → Lothian Road → Fountainbridge. Approx. 12–15 minutes’ walk to the hotel.

3. By Tram:

Take the Edinburgh Trams: Tram to Princes Street stop. From there, walk 10–12 minutes down Lothian Road to Fountainbridge.

4. By Bus:

Common buses stopping nearby: Services 3, 27, 31, 37, 47, 49. Alight at Lothian Road / Fountainbridge or Princes Street. From the stops, it is a 5–10 minutes walk to the hotel.

Your booking is non-refundable. This means if you do miss your course you will be very welcome to attend another course, but you will need to pay again. You can however postpone your booking for a later course so long as you give us two full working days’ notice. You can only do this once per booking.

Yes. After successfully completing both the practical physical modules and theoretical assessments, you will receive an official, accredited certificate of completion in PMVA issued directly by Avalon Care Training.

How long is the PMVA training course?

Our full initial PMVA training block runs as an intensive course completed across 3 consecutive days. We also offer streamlined 1-Day refresher training courses across all our venues for individuals whose previous certifications are near expiration.

Can I get a refund if I need to change my mind?

Yes, you can request a refund if it is submitted within 14 days of your initial booking date. Please keep in mind that minor administrative and processing fees may be deducted when your refund is issued.
