Getting to Stanford Training Center, Birmingham (Please confirm exact street address if needed for GPS)

1. From Birmingham New Street Station

Exit the station and head toward Smallbrook Queensway / Broad Street. Walk or take a local taxi/ride-share to the training centre (~10–15 minutes depending on traffic). 🚶 From Birmingham City Centre From Victoria Square / Bullring, head toward Broad Street / Smallbrook Queensway. Approx. 15–20 minutes walk depending on your starting point.

2. By Tram

Birmingham has the West Midlands Metro. Nearest stops: Grand Central / Bull Street. From the tram stop, it is a 5–10 minutes walk to the training centre. 🚌 By Bus Bus stops near Broad Street and Smallbrook Queensway. Services include: X1, 63, 74, 97 (check local timetables). Approx. 5–10 minutes walk from the stop to the training centre.

Your booking is non-refundable. This means if you do miss your course you will be very welcome to attend another course, but you will need to pay again. You can however postpone your booking for a later course so long as you give us two full working days’ notice. You can only do this once per booking.

Who can attend

Our (PMVA) Training is advisable for anyone that works in a violent/ aggressive setting. It is suitable for Mental Health Support Workers and for Health Care Assistants who can easily attend in Birmingham.

PMVA Stands for Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression.

Agencies with 5 or more candidates for a 3-Day PMVA Training may get a free slot.

There are no specific requirements for you to attend our PMVA training course. It is however expected that you are working or will work in healthcare, security or related roles that require the knowledge that PMVA offers.

Yes. You would receive an official certificate of completion in PMVA on completion of your training with Avalon Care Training

Each PMVA training block lasts 3 days generally. The course is completed within 3 days.

Yes. You can get a refund if this is requested within 14 days of your booking. Please note that we may deduct administrative charges while processing refunds.
